Hey there! Here's a poem I wrote sometime back and I had posted this on the Skoar! forums in the Verse or Worse thread. It's a poem about Death. Read it.
The lone wolf looks upward.
The crimson skies cry pain.
With a chilling howl it announces its master’s arrival.
Sorrow stalks the land again.
The populace flee, gripping children tight,
the reaper walks, treading light.
The scythe falls, a woman wailed.
The young boy fought, but pitifully failed.
All around, the land smelled of rot and decay,
could they possibly see, another day?
Death looked up, smiled and said :
"Fear not, for i'm a cleanser, not an abberration,
Death is not the end, but merely......a transition."
And basically, thats the only thing that saves you from becoming roast sapein when caught in a lightning storm.
See, there are always 2 kinds of people - those who chose to come out roasted after being struck by lightning. All black and charred and burnt and smelly and crispy. Then there are those, who realize that the electricity can be used to achieve something far greater - that instead of being roasted, you can come out of it galvanized. so you end up being much stronger than you were. Shinier than you were. Better than you were.
Thats how it's worked here. Things couldnt have been better. Sitting up at 6am, with a glass of hot lemon tea, cold water, Pepsi and pop corn in front of me. All waiting for me to ingest them. All this while listening to Pink Floyd! And thinking of that one great email that made my day. That one great email that made me smile like a schoolgirl with a crush on her teacher! I swear - this would never have come to pass had I chosen to be roasted! Awesome!
Other stuff - my company is celebrating the annual Townhall this Sunday - so i'm playing with my band of colelagues (well - directors really) and im really inspired to play the guitar more sincerely now. Especially since I saw a few Paul Gilbert videos and almost found myself a new hole! Damn - will I ever get to that level of mastery? If I could just play that fast - anything! God...even chromatics would do!! But i'm going to keep practicing.
Well...what else...oh yeah...I got moved up to moderator on the Skoar! forums. So now I get to play God (or at least God's errand boy). Good things happening. Life is beautiful and i'm a lot more shinier now.
I guess it's because if you dont know how not to get roasted by lightning, then you will learn it. And learning can never be bad.

I think you are going the Chetan Bhagat track..........
YOU DIDN'T GET MARRIED????? Wha-what happened with that?
WOW!!! I was looking forward to hearing about a lot of little Reggies being made.
Dude, sheesh, I cannot believe I'm actually typing the word dude. Such OLD terminolgy to be using. Yeah, it is over 30 years old. You were not even a twinkle in your dad's eye when that term was coined. Ah, well.
So, again I say, DUDE what's going on with you!!!
Respond soon to your Mommy-Marta
I have a friend down at Fermilabs who might get you bettter acquainted with Ms. Tesla Coil, if you so desire. :-D I should have thought the choice would be more along the lines of rare, medium and overcooked but maybe that's just me. Glad to know you're back on track and being your usual goofy self. And oh, if you're EVER tempted to play with a power line, consider taking up the Looney Tunes lifestyle - idiots, explosives and falling anvils! :-D "Learning can never be bad" - I will make sure they engrave that on my tombstone and my lawyer sends you notice.
